An Introduction To The Rockway Brands At Your Local LCBO

When discussing the transformation of Rockway Vineyards, veteran wine critic Gordon Stimmell of the Toronto Star noted:

Now, under the guiding light of young winemaker David Stasiuk, the winery has been reborn and is churning out amazing small-lot wines, some of which rise into the realm of world-class. He is excited to be bringing the long bottled-up potential of the vineyards to thrilling levels.

Now, this transformation is hardly news anymore. The thousands of people that have enjoyed a glass of Rockway Vineyards wine in the last five years know that they can trust the Rockway Vineyards brand to produce small-lot wines that are crafted for excellent quality at exceptional value. What may be missed, however, is that Rockway produces several other brands that not only deliver taste, quality and value, but convenience as well, since they're located around the corner at your local LCBO store, alongside the more familiar Rockway Vineyards vintages like Pinot Noir, White and Meritage.

Fergie Jenkins Limited Edition

Every year we produce two wines in partnership with the Fergie Jenkins Foundation and a portion of all sales benefit the Fergie Jenkins Foundation charities. These wines have always been among our most popular and regularly sell out. We have just released the slightly off dry with mouth watering acidity this Riesling boasts ripe tropical notes while being reigned in by the classic stone fruit, citrus and wet stone character of Bench Riesling.

The Fergie Jenkins Limited Edition Riesling 2014 is available now at the LCBO for just $13.25. This riesling offers upfront aromas of tangerine peach, lemon and green apple. Green apple and citrus fruits persist on the palate with hints of wet stone and floral undertones.

David Hearn Limited Edition

Since 2015, we have partnered with one of Canada's finest golfer, PGA pro David Hearn, and the David Hearn Foundation to produce a white wine and red wine. A portion of the wines' sales support Alzheimer Society of Canada.

This year's vintages have just been released this summer. The white wine is a 2015 Chardonnay/Riesling blend and has already won a silver medal at the 2017 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition. It is a fantastic wine to cherish on a summer evening with flavours of grapefruit, white peach and mineral.

The red wine is a 2013 Cabernet/Merlot VQA and a bronze medalist at both the FLIWC and the All Canadian Wine Championships. It is full-bodied and smooth, perfect for twosomes coming off the golf course or enjoying with your favourite gourmet burger in your backyard.
